Chat Guest

Stacey grew up with a legacy of building our community and giving back. Her grandparents, an attorney, and a school teacher founded a church and taught people within their community how to read in the basement of the church after work in the evenings.

She graduated from Cornell University in New York. Most of her work has been in the arena of fostering diversity inclusion and empowerment to women, children, and families. In 1999, she joined several families in creating a Sunday School for children to learn their cultural history and build a foundation of self-awareness for cultivating empowerment at an early age. In 2002, she incorporated the program as a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity.

In 2005 she was elected as Council Woman in New Jersey. She served in this capacity for four consecutive years and built a landscape around women empowerment which led to an appointment as a delegate and an invitation to initiate a Political Women’s organization for the county and to serve on NJ’s non-partisan State Political Caucus for Women –  ensuring that all parties worked together to promote and secure political positions for women. In 2007, she traveled to India as part of a mission with the NJ State Chamber of Commerce to build global partnerships with Chambers of other countries. They adopted a school to once again help empower disenfranchised children.

Today, Stacey resides with her husband Hollis and they share a hybrid of seven children. She serves as the Executive Director of Every Woman Works, Inc. (EWW) moving women from dependency to self-sufficiency. She also serves her sorority Delta Sigma Theta, her church Zion Missionary Baptist in Marietta, and mentors High School students from the Cobb County community of schools.
